Wood and bone,
Flat and hard,
Torn and sewn.

Two pieces,
Carved by blood,
Shaped by rock,
Glued in flood.

Two pieces,
Doves they make,
Joined as broken,
One we wake.
There is forgiveness. There is forgiveness. There is forgiveness.
What God is teaching me
The evidence of grace is strongest among those who live calmly below the roving sight-line of those searching for human perfection.

Truth without love is harshness; it gives us information but in such a way that we cannot really hear it. God’s saving love in Christ, however, is marked by both radical truthfulness about who we are and yet also radical, unconditional commitment to us. The merciful commitment strengthens us...

O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
…Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand...

Faith is what you rely on before you encounter/experience/and understand the object of your faith. Trust is what you gain once you do encounter that which you had placed your faith in, and taste that it/he/she is worthy of that trust.
Ex: I had faith that the chair would hold me up. Then I sat on it, it held me just as I had hoped, and from then on I trusted its soundness.
My beauty is found in Christ.
